Focused only on the central point. Everything on the sides is in the foreground, the background is blurred. Doesn't refocus, just focuses on one point. So it's great when your head is in that central spot and you don't move your head forward or back and just talk. But if you also want to show things, they become blurred. With the first camera, I was crooked, so there was blur in the corner of the screen because the camera didn't capture the full frame from the front due to the crooked mounting. So I sent it back and got a replacement. The 2nd camera wasn't crooked, which made me happy. But then when I started using it I held the book and when I brought the book closer to the camera the title of the book completely blurred. It was also blurry on the side of me or my face, as well as anything in the background or foreground. The lighting is excellent overall. The audio is almost the same as any computer webcam. The mid-seat resolution is only good if you're not sitting too far forward or too far back. I have decided to go back and not get a replacement because I need a camera that allows me to both point things and speak and focus on things and not just them. the central place where your head speaks. Now I'm using my computer's webcam again because although the lighting isn't as good as that camera, it focuses much better. I can show something, do something, demonstrate something, and everything is in focus. I go to some pretty big shows as a regular guest and do demos and this camera just doesn't work as it doesn't have the flexibility to focus.
