With just with a push of a button the can opener will do all of the work for you! Simply attach the can opener on the top of the can then press the red button to get it to start.Once the opener has gone completely around the can, you will need to manually push the red button again to turn it off. Unfortunately, it does not automatically turn off, that would have been an awesome five star feature! It will continue to go around and around until it has been manually powered off. I really do like how I can just push the start button and walk away (it does not need to be watched), I just wish I didn’t have to come back to turn it off. So be aware this is not an automatic shut off, if you’re looking for that feature, you may want to try another brand.The lid is easy to remove and has NO sharp edges! It really is so easy to use, the most difficult thing about this product is getting the battery compartment open! You will need to install 2 AA batteries as they are not included.
