I will not buy this item again for the following 3 reasons: These shorts must have been on a slow boat from China because they seemed to have arrived forever They have the elastic not used in the union. I spend as much time smoothing my curves as I do wearing them. After all, I mainly wear shorts when I'm gardening. I live in Southeast Texas, which is very hot and humid. I'm not sure what kind of "athletics" a person could do in them, but they're too thick, too huggable, and too short for me. If none of this bothers you, I recommend buying several pairs in different colors. but if not, look elsewhere.
