I don't smoke. My father always told me to take it with me in an emergency. The only problem I've seen with Zippos is evaporation. The spacer fits snugly and holds the extra flint. double win. I will test and see how well it works. But first of all I am very satisfied with this product. Last year I bought a 2mm thick Ti lighter from China with a hinge gasket included. It works well. I added this gasket to this lighter. Hopefully with the extra padding the evaporation will stop completely or significantly. The only thing I could think of to reduce evaporation would be to get the body of a Zorro lighter with a brass wick cap when closed. However how much do you have to spend on the perfect evaporation proof lighter if the ROI takes too long as I don't use it very often.
