Review on πŸ‘Ÿ New Balance Women's 577v1 Hook and Loop Walking Shoe: Enhanced SEO-friendly Version by Judy Spillman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good shoes for some. Not so good for others!

I needed a shoe that could deal with my heel spurs and imperfect toes when my sensitive feet hit the treadmill quickly. I've found that they don't do well for treadmill training; However, for the price, they have some advantages. This is what I found to be true about the shoes I received. Pros: 1. Well made and nice walk/lounge/leisure/shoes.2. Easy to adjust and suitable for those who cannot tie their laces3. leather.not imitation/synthetics4. Flexible Velcro. The shoulder straps were originally too short; However, after wearing mine for several hours, they stretched so much that the strap covered the velcro. (see photos) 5. True to size with plenty of finger room 6. Flexible outsole 7. Not having that VERY SMOOTH look that many sneakers have. Removable insoles so other insoles can be added or replaced9. U-shaped tongue with central cut-out provides flexibility when walking.10. Foam lined collar, tongue and heel11. Low cut below the ankle to keep shoe and ankle from touching. Cons: 1. Not enough cushioning/cushioning in the insole to provide consistent walking/standing comfort on a hard surface for an extended period of time. If I add a thin insole, it pushes the foot up and the straps become too tight. When I undo the straps, the velcro doesn't fit. They won't work for the purpose I bought them for but they are regular shoes.2. Although the top of the tongue is soft, the edge is hard and digs into my ankle when walking3. Arched feet may require additional support. Pretty good for low/medium arch foot4. Too wide for my narrow heel which causes the shoe to slip but not bothersome enough.
