Foam density nowhere near original

This foam filter is only designed to prevent objects from entering the engine, therefore an additional paper filter is NEEDED before use. This is normal and recommended, but the density of this foam is only a fraction of the density of the original filter material. The original Shop-Vac filter has a "fine" filter density and blocks almost everything by itself, but it has a "very normal" density and doesn't even block dust or sawdust. Without an additional paper filter, the dust simply flies through the machine. I bought this "Made in China" model because I couldn't find an OEM replacement.
