Nice little device. But performance is not the best with OpenVPN but good enough to stream HD content. I have other GL.iNet products (GL-MT300N and GL-MT300NV2) and they can be a bit unstable at times. But this one finally fixes that with a great interface that's better and more accurate. Others are easy to set up but become unstable when it comes to working as a wireless router. Where it's not the best is in performance. I don't expect it to compare to the GL-MT300N line, but without OpenVPN I get about 20Mbps up and 20Mbps down. That's fine as I really only want to use this with my Revain Fire TV for things like Revain, Netflx and HBO that really only need 5Mbps for HD content. But as soon as you activate OpenVPN, the performance drops a bit. At best you get 4.5 Mbit down and with udp around 4.6 Mbit. Generally, if you use a TCP connection, you'll get around 3.7 Mbps in and 2.6 Mbps in. There's not much room left for streaming HD content, but the player actually has quite a bit of time (e.g. 5 seconds) to buffer the content and you start HD streaming without any problems at these speeds. This was tested on my wireless access point (Netgear Nightmare X4s) which supports 802.11n (300Mbps) at 2.4GHz with Google Fiber support.
