This thing is strong enough to be used as a weapon baton. I wouldn't think this is the smallest or lightest stand; I don't think it's that compact (I mean compared to a full-size tripod, yes, but). It is said to weigh 1 pound and be able to carry up to 11 pounds. The real downside is that there isn't a proper locking mechanism for the tilt, so you definitely can't put anything too heavy on it, or it will likely start dangling on its own. ). This is a solid wand and can be useful but I don't think it deserves 5 stars.
