I have read all the low rated reviews and I can understand why they gave this GREAT product a low rating. This is simply because they are ignorant, not because the product is broken. Heck, I thought my compressor and airbrush broke too when I first got them! As a newbie to this product and airbrushing in general, here's a little beginner's guide I've put together: Compressor: The first thing is that the regulator isn't included. My compressor came with teflon tape (not sure if yours does, I used mine). You MUST wrap Teflon tape around the compressor connector and then screw on the regulator. This is to prevent air escaping. Once it's in place, you can connect the braided hose. Here's the thing about the compressor: when it's on, it doesn't run all the time, it has an automatic shut-off after a pressure build-up. Also, your airbrush must be connected to a hose and compressor for the sensor to work. To adjust the pressure, pull out the black knob on the regulator and then turn it left/right, it should have the + and - symbols so you know which way to turn it. Please note that the sensor only shows readings when your compressor is running and the hose is connected to the airbrush! If your compressor has an auto shut-off and you need to adjust the pressure, simply let some air through your airbrush to get it working again. Also keep in mind that when you paint with an airbrush, the compressor turns itself on and off. THIS IS NORMAL AND GOOD, don't let it bother you. That means your regulator and compressor are working properly! Airbrush: As said before, the airbrush needs to be connected to the compressor and the compressor running for it to work properly (it should be obvious, but I'll report it anyway). There are two controls on the airbrush as well as some adjustments. The first check is to pull the trigger, which will allow air to escape. Please note that no liquid should escape when you press it, only air. Once the trigger is pulled, more and more of your liquid should come out as you pull it back. If you can't pull the trigger far enough to release the fluid, here's what might be wrong: At the very back of the airbrush (opposite the front) is a small button. Loosening this knob allows you to keep pulling the trigger, releasing more and more liquid. As I said before, I am far from an expert or even an expert in airbrushing. As my first $80 airbrush (I used mine from Revain) this is WORTH EVERY PENNY. Airbrushes alone cost over $100 if it's an airbrush, compressor, and regulator (yes, some airbrush/compressor kits don't come with regulators)! In terms of quality, I honestly don't know how good the airbrush is, but I've used it to write my name and paint a few sets of models and the paint (water-based acrylic thinned with Windex) layed flat with no spatter. The included booklet is also a joke. It is about 5 pages front and back and basically explains how to clean the airbrush and how to practice drawing lines, dagger strokes and dots. It is important that it is explained how to clean the airbrush. It is EXTREMELY important to keep your airbrush clean if you want it to last forever. The brush gets dirty with paint quickly, so it is important to keep it clean. Just remember that you must keep it in working condition when you buy it. It's not that difficult to clean, you just need to rub cleaner on it and unscrew some small parts. Conclusion: If you are looking for an airbrush to paint anything, this one is worth it. I personally use it for painting model kits, but you can use it for anything else!
