Great shoes! I wore them on a deserted island with very rough coral shores (Bonaire) and they performed admirably and protected my feet from sharp coral much better than my regular fins. The outsole is thick and durable, providing Kraken-like traction on slippery tile surfaces. The upper dries quickly thanks to the open weave pattern and I never felt like the sole got wet. Only once did a piece of coral hit the upper that wouldn't wash off, forcing me to remove my shoes to take them off. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the shoe looks weird - not terrible - when worn barefoot. The outsole is like prickly but soft pebbles underfoot. Again, it's not a terrible feeling, and maybe even a pleasant one for some people (like some sort of sore from a sharp foot massage or something), but to me it feels like we're distracted, even when the shoes perform well. Still a good buy in my opinion and I'm sure I'll be happy to have them on our next water adventure. An added bonus is their flexibility which makes packing super easy!
