I ordered this product twice. The first time I ordered the (two pack) for $20 and some change which came in a box (see photo) and two fit in that thin box perfectly. The blinds came out of the box.perfectly but I made the mistake of cutting one too short of the width that I needed so I ordered one more at $17 and some change to replace the one that I cut too short.But when I ordered a single blind it came in such a huge box that would probably fit 15 or more of these blinds the person who ever placed it in the box also crammed in a lot of brown paper, most likely to prevent it from moving around but in doing so they "crunched" the blinds thus creating "warps" in the curtain. I'm sure if no paper was added the curtain would have retained it's "flatness" just fine since it was also sealed in a plastic sleeve but cramming the filler paper to prevent it from rattling around in the box did more damage than just not having it at all. Now I have no doubt that with some time and weights and some boards I can flatten the curtains back into shape. I just wished I didn't have to.But other than that, the curtains will block out a fair amount of sunlight but also keep in mind that right out of the box it will want to retain it's "condensed" shape and won't automatically fall all the way to the bottom windowsill. You'll have to stretch it down to the bottom windowsill and find a way to hold it down. I used weights. I think I'll have to attach some Velcro tabs to eventually keep it attached to the lower windowsill.
