Review on A5 Dotted Notebook 3-Pack - 5.5X8.25 Dot Grid Paper Bullet Notes Journaling, 120 Sheets/240 Pages - Black/White/Kraft Brown Covers by Dante Jeppi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not A5 size for my opinion

I bought these books to use as scrapbooks that I could fill while I travel. I mostly wanted to be able to tape things into it (maps, brochures, tickets, etc.). I also wanted to be able to write in it with my travel fountain pen and ink combo (EF nib and Noodlers Black). Considering that my pen and ink combo is pretty well behaved, I didn't need the greatest paper, but I did need a sturdy book with thicker paper to fulfill my main purpose. These books meet those requirements, but I have one major problem with them: they are not A5 size. The height is A5, but the width is about 3/8" shorter. This means that any A5-sized (or A4 folded in half) papers that I wanted to tape into the book did not fit. The product title and description both say that the notebooks are A5, while the product title and product size say that the the notebooks are 5.5 x 8.25. Thus, I wasn't sure what size to expect when I purchased these books. It turns out that the 5.5 x 8.25 is more accurate. I've attached a picture that shows this notebook compared to 3 other A5-sized things.- Beige, top-bound spiral, A5 pad: Paperchase- White, A5 looseleaf sheets: Tomoe River sheets that I punched to use inside an A5 Filofax notebook- Blue, A5 notebook: Clairefontaine- Black, "A5" notebook: This productThe black notebook is clearly not as wide as the other three products. The other three products are the same width as each other.Things I like:- a lot of pages per notebook- plain, paper cover that I can write on- three notebooks to a pack (cost effective)- sheets are a good thickness - not too thin, not too thick. I taped things into the notebook and the paper didn't buckle. Faint to no ghosting when writing with a fountain pen.- smooth paper - nice writing experience using a fountain pen- sturdy, stitched binding - held up while traveling- dot grid ruling - just dark enoughThings I don't like:- not A5 size- I wish the black cover notebook wasn't black. I want to be able to write on the cover, but I can't.
