Installation was easy. I was concerned I would have to cut the metal bracket behind the radio seeing what some of them had to do on YouTube. I didn't have to change the HVAC controller and it was able to stay in the factory position. I used metal snips and pliers to break off pieces of the radio basket. It turned out beautifully and the basket didn't have to be removed. There is a slight adjustment in the brackets to allow the radio to be easily moved forward or backward. I upgraded the radio in another car and decided to use the old radio in my 2000 Silverado. It turned out well overall, there is a small gap at the door but it's not very noticeable, I used most of the factory clips and I only had to use a couple of them. The clips that come with it aren't that strong and don't grip. as well as factory clips. The set could use some tweaking to make it fit better, but overall I'm happy with it.
