The clips are too weak for that. They are very easy to remove from the dashboard or trim. Tried to bend them to hold them but to no avail. The detail is slightly distorted. Stronger clamps can hold it better. Gaps can be seen in the photos. When I press one side where I want it, the other pops open. The factory part is very tight and tight. Installation was easy. I was concerned I would have to cut the metal bracket behind the radio seeing what some of them had to do on YouTube. I didn't have to change the HVAC controller and it was able to stay in the factory position. I used metal snips and pliers to break off pieces of the radio basket.
