clamps are too weak for this. They are very easy to remove from the dashboard or trim. Tried to bend them to hold them but to no avail. The detail is slightly distorted. Stronger clamps can hold it better. Gaps can be seen in the photos. When I press one side where I want it, the other pops open. The factory part is very tight and tight. If I could remove the clips I would use them instead. The color is black as stated in the description. My dashboard is dark gray. Since the dashboard is black, it looks acceptable.
