Review on Zoo Med Carbon Bag for 501 Turtle Filter: Enhance Water Filtration with Carbon Media by Tracy Smith

I don't know why others have had bad experiences with this activated carbon bag, I have 511 and it came with the bag, I put it in as the filter instructions said and just replaced the bag with a new one over a month ago {March/31}. Anyway, he did a great job keeping my {18x24x14} turtle tank clean and odor free. One thing I noticed when I got the new charcoal bag is that the box says to put the charcoal bag on top of the ceramic filler. My 511 instructions state that the ceramic filler must rest on top of the charcoal bag. sure what the difference is between the two filters, which would require the two to differ in how they fit into the canisters. I'm not sure if this is the reason for the bad experiences of others. All I can say is I highly recommend it for a 511 ceramic coated filter on top. ************************************ ****TO UPDATE********* *****UPDATE****************UPDATE**************** **UPDATE******** * ** **************** I don't know how this package differs from the one that came with the filter, but this is different. The one that came with the filter worked fantastic, this one is useless, it doesn't do anything. It's like not having a bag. I am very sorry to anyone who has purchased any of these products based on my review. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! If I could exist - the stars.
