For simply sweeping up my kitchen & dining room - this broom is great.But if I ever needed it to do a "heavier" job (sweeping off my back porch or front steps), I'm afraid it isn't quite sturdy enough for that.The broom arrived in multiple pieces and was easy to assemble (even though there were no instructions - I had to simply figure out which pieces went with each other). Both the broom & dustpan are a comfortable height. I love that the dust pan has "teeth" to it, helping pull any stray dirt/strings/hair off the bottom of the broom. However, the dust pan doesn't "pivot" super easily, I have to either push/pull it or use my foot.
