The best brush! *Change but not for long =/

This brush is the best brush I have ever used. I have Purdy and several Wooster brushes, and I will admit to preferring the rubber-handled Wooster to this brush. I also have a nylon 2 1/2 angled wooster that I bought at the same time as this one and this one wins by a mile. I'm a simple handyman and am currently painting my whole house (starting with the crown molding to be repainted but to be honest I don't like the biscuit paint that was here when we bought the house but then we need to paint the walls. but if we paint the walls we also have to paint the ceiling as it is the same color as the paneling.) and here i am finally done with the ceiling and walls, now the paneling and doors. I don't know what my problem with Purdy is, but every project I do with it, no matter how thorough I go with it, I just end up with brush strokes. Even with the right prep, my wooster gets muddy faster than I'd like, but this brush doesn't! It's smooth with no brushstrokes; Currently being painted with Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel paint which doesn't dry very quickly but doesn't mess around with painting time as much as some others. This brush digs in great, holds a lot of paint in an oval shape, but not only does it squirt everywhere, it loosens as you pull, which is perfect for long strokes that are needed to prevent brush line formation. My paneled doors come out great with just this brush, I didn't even use the chip brush I thought I would need for the inside corners because this brush cuts so amazingly! I've washed it 5 times and it's still in perfect condition, like new. I used a simple Revain morning soap and comb and all the color comes off so well it looks new. It's holding up well and I've got a lot more doors and ledges to do, but this brush is fine with me. My new favorite brush, surpassing Purdy and Wooster in my opinion! You need to wash the brush often, but do it with warm soapy water, never bend the bristles or splash in the brush. Wash gently and comb with a comb brush but for some reason my brush started to retain some water right in the bend where the metal joins. The metal appears to be loosening and the bristles on the edge of the brush are not lying flat. I love the brush, but really liked the no-drip feature until my brush dripped onto my hardwood floor (it wiped off easily because it was very watery). So this brush is great until it starts to "break", or maybe mine is just faulty when the metal is being squeezed. Can't be sure as I can't afford to buy another one to compare just because it drips and the bristles aren't fully comforted as they should be longer. Just disappointed in something I thought would get me through doors and decorate my home with quality workmanship.

Pros
  • Paint, wall polish and accessories
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
