Think of something else

Thing is a bunch of crap. Socket plugs alone aren't easy except for THHN 8 or 6 AWG stranded wire for whatever. The screw that secures the wire to the connector is right in the center of the insertion hole, so 6 or 8 AWG wire cannot be terminated. The instructions recommended separating the wires and doing it like a snake tongue and trying to glue it that way. My electrician said it was pretty stupid. We had to go to a hardware store and replace the plug with a Leviton 1450 NEMA plug, which the cables connected to without any problems. I had 2 units so I replaced both plugs ($20 each upgrade). The sockets that were there were cheap junk from China. The ground wire was only about 2.5 inches long, making it extremely difficult to easily plug into an outlet. (We also replaced it with the remaining green 8 AWG THHN) While working on the unit, this is a two person job as unlike all other RV plugs I've seen before, the door doesn't do this in the location is definitely open for sure. When I bought it, there were many good reviews. They bragged about how to close the door when it's plugged in, and that's probably the only thing they did. Save time and money and find another block. The only reason I didn't return it is because we had a deadline to finish the electrical and get it ready for inspection.
