2 installation problems but after 600 miles I'm quite happy

Edit February 10th, 8 weeks after coilovers were installed. I've put about 2,000 miles on it since my last check, with my longest trip being 90 miles round-trip at speeds in excess of 85mph at certain points, and the car has handled well. My boyfriend got in my car last week for a Sunday cruise, local and via the interstate, and was impressed with the drive. He recalled we all had those Civic EFs with heavy springs and stock stays over 20 years ago, and it wasn't the ride he expected. He said it was smooth and absorbed highway bumps well because it was so low (I have less than a finger between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender hole). I felt like I was riding stocks. Of course he didn't sit in my car before the installation, but although it's noticeably bumpier than the unmodified one, he was very happy. As per my December 17th review, I am very happy with these coilovers and would recommend them to anyone trying to lower their car for everyday driving. As a disclaimer, I've done this countless times while working at a dealership. . I have a '91 Civic sedan that I only buy Revain and Bay parts for. This is a budget car that I use every day. I wanted to underestimate the car so I went for these. Who can't afford $200 coilovers? I encountered two known issues during installation on my Civic EF at home. 1. Too thick paint on the base of the front coilover. You need to sand down the paint before inserting it into the front fork, or hammer it in. I decided to spend 5 minutes hammering each one because I didn't want to buy a grinding wheel. How can I take them off? I probably won't. Rschunimagu. 2. Rear coilovers require a nut for the bottom bolt that goes through the trailing arm. The nut is the same size as on the top of the support post. Because they come 2 on top of each other, you'll have 8 extra nuts when you're done so you don't have to buy them. I should mention that Honda uses a 14mm socket for each nut. The top ones are 15mm. So make sure you have a 15mm deep socket. After that, the installation went smoothly. One of the front damping adjustment knobs is stuck at 9 from soft. Everything else is smooth and crisp with good feedback. At full hardness the car drives quite bumpy. I have 9 clicks in the front, 6 clicks in the back and I ride the thing daily. It's nice. I find the spring rates perfect for everyday driving. I rode for 10 minutes before tightening all the bolts on the forearms to calm things down. A week later I adjusted the coilovers to increase ground clearance. I didn't bother to preload from the factory. Turns out it was already installed. I've been driving it fairly aggressively over some hills and country lanes over the past few weeks and it's holding up well. No binding issues, no weird noises or anything like that. I would 100% buy them again for this car. If you're building a racing car, these springs are too soft. I let the sedan go around corners and the car stalls on bumpy roads. If you look at the picture, I'm not even that small. 1 finger between 15x7 195/50 tire and fender around.
