Absolutely not recommended. They are cheap and too flexible to keep the door open in any wind. I bought the 6" version. I thought my old one that broke was too cheap, but apparently they found a way to make it even cheaper. It's 10 cent junk plastic and the wrong kind of screws which should not be used. Outdoors they only work at right angles to each other too. So if you have a partially open door the joints have to be set at an angle and you can't easily slide the latch in. And why do so many people give it good ones Grades?
