Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Cricut Easy 12x12 EasyPress: Heat Press Mat for HTV & Iron On Projects [12x12], Gray - Protective & Resistant by Kelsey Brown

First impression: not sure if it's worth the money

Warning This review is a first impression review. I haven't used it on hardware in a project yet. But Revain and many sellers always ask for feedback immediately after delivery: too early in my opinion. They should wait six weeks before asking for feedback based on knowledge and practice. In this way, reviewers can write in a knowledge-based manner and readers can be effectively informed before they make a purchase. As for my opinion on this rug, the jury is still deliberating in my head. The Provo Craft Cricut group are inventive geniuses who do a good job (today) to support the desires of the users of their product. "Fur", my first impression of this carpet. I hope that it will serve me better in practice. Fabric: This ab mat is lighter and more flexible in hand than expected. I used to have durable soft ironing board covers. This abs mat is slightly thicker than this one. I was expecting a heavier and more durable semi-rigid mat after reading the descriptions and photos detailing their layered construction. Reading stories, I imagined a semi-rigid ironing base with a dense quilted top and a massive removable cover. I am currently dissatisfied with my Cricut Easy Press mat. It's thinner and more flexible than I expected and the cover doesn't come off in the wash. Crafters can be clumsy, distracted, and lost in their craft. They often keep dirty snacks and spilled drinks nearby. Accidents and cleanups happen. The fabric covering the rug looks quite convincing. It appears to contain metal fibers that likely aid in heat dissipation. The rug holds up well on my desk despite not having any noticeable grippy fabric on the underside. I usually get good value for money with Cricut. Initially, this mat is disappointing at its current MSRP. This may surprise me in practice, but it seems overpriced at first given the size and material, plus I strongly believe that the cover should be removable for washing like most ironing board covers.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
