Small and efficient.

Thank goodness I found this little "compressor" dryer. Much research has been done and careful sifting for virtually useless fan units that have done next to nothing. See, I live in a small van (that's right - 160 square meter "house"). The thing is, if it rains all day; or if you use the heater for a long time in a cold winter, condensation may form on the windows. Putting on heavy curtains only makes the glass problem worse and can easily lead to mold growth. They live in small spaces and shed a lot of moisture (bathing, washing dishes, cooking, etc.), so when the humidity outside rises, the moisture accumulates inside. I had a large (very noisy) and very efficient dehumidifier, but it was really overkill for such a small room and took up too much space. It was stashed in the pantry where my laundry is hung out to dry - bonus, laundry dries much faster. This fine dehumidifier is lightweight, has a carrying handle and is compact enough for work. I can't tell how its functions work, I'm a simple person - I just turn it on. This sets the device to 50% humidity and automatically turns it on and off as needed. Stops when the water bucket is full. For me it was seamless. I've used it both with and without the drain line attached. A small bucket fills up in about a day when the humidity is very high, so I found a spot under my desk for a device that allows me to permanently drain it by gravity through a small hole in my wall. As Goldilocks says, it's "just right" for my needs.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Reliability
