Review on Contigo AUTOSEAL Pitcher Infuser Stick by Michael Thaxton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good jug and infuser, button could be better

This is a large jug with an infuser and an ice core. The fact that it's sealed and won't spill was the reason I bought it as a jug for my kids to pour milk from their "kids fridge". They both use Contigo auto-seal cups in their bedrooms for water at night and I thought this might be a good solution to help them learn how to milk themselves. Then theory met reality. The knob on the jug is irregularly shaped, angled and requires more force than is required even for adults. The fact that it's slanted means my thumb slips off the button as soon as I press it. Children have trouble pushing at first, but they can do it if they try. Then they have to adjust their grip once or twice. The pitcher could have been redesigned with a mechanism that was more convenient and easier to use. I can only fill the pitcher 1/5-1/4 full before it becomes too heavy and unwieldy for the kids, but that's to be expected. For adults, the pitcher works well, even if the trigger isn't as good as it could be. be. This would be great for outdoors as it is 100% insect repellent and has an ice core to keep drinks cold. For everyday use, it has a nozzle for lemons or limes or, as my wife recently discovered, cucumber slices in your water.

Pros
  • Carafes and jugs
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
