Received the holder in mid-May and the foam came off in less than 2 months. Maybe because the foam was fixed with glue etc, for example with a seal that you remove from the back of the glue. It might have taken longer in cooler climates, but here in Texas the climate is already over 100Β°F. The phone holder springs to the point where part of the in-car cup holder begins to detach. The button on the phone holder to release the phone holder stopped working about a month after purchase. This interferes with gear shifting and air conditioning controls. And that's despite being in the cup holder farthest from the driver. When the cup holder is closer to the driver, it blocks the wipers and also blocks the climate control and gear change controls. I would not recommend that. I've stopped using it when I don't need to use GPS. Update: part of the phone holder literally fell apart when my friend tried to rotate it. So he went on a merry hunt to the bottom of my complex's garbage can.
