I put a bullet proof tip on my cue. It holds the chalk as advertised and is soft enough to twist a bit if needed. I did a few tie shots just to see what would happen and I was able to pull the ball up a bit. It feels very similar to my previous super hard leather brake tip. It wasn't difficult to jump. I would recommend having someone install it for you as the tip is difficult to shape. I mean very hard. It seems that in my cue repairing a lathe like a heavy one is required. The tip is over 15mm in diameter and most cues are 13mm or less in diameter. You need to be able to rotate the cue to grind off the excess material, which again is extremely hard. I wouldn't put mine back in.
