I've been trying to get my hands on this beauty since I first saw a sample on Michael's website. It's always sold out in stores and online or insanely overpriced everywhere I've checked, including here, but I've put it in my For Later save and kept an eye on it, as I've done at several other places. . Finally when I went around and found it here at Revain for the same price as in store! I loved it and bought several balls. I had no idea what I wanted to do with him, I just knew I needed him in my life. When I got my hands on it I was in love! All the yarns in this line are very soft, but this color is one of the softest and softest they have, it's a little slice of a gorgeous chocolate brown cloud in your hands. Having had this yarn in my collection for a very long time and having worked on many different projects, the perfect project for this yarn. My husband and I are about 6ft tall so finding a blanket to snuggle in is impossible. We usually use queen size comforter, but it is so big that it is troublesome for a lazy person to move it around. I found a beautiful chevron pattern and decided to combine it with Bernat yarn in taupe, light turquoise and vintage white for blankets and off we went to town! I'll post a photo once I have a decent one. :) A wonderful side effect is that I started in August and finished in November as soon as it got colder. It turned out to be so warm, so snuggly, and a surprisingly heavy weight (which I love because my husband is a trucker and is rarely home and I feel snuggled up at night. Maybe that's why). kinda weird, maybe you're referring to that, doesn't matter.) The only downside I foresee is trying to clean this hippo. The finished quilt is so big and weighs so much that I'm not sure about the local industrial washers and dryers at the local laundromat, let alone my home machines. So it will be an adventure. Overall I just love this yarn. This particular one is great and the entire line is versatile, fun and easy to do. In addition to this blanket, I have sewn several children's blankets, skudi, slippers, scarves, jewelry, amigurumi and much more.
