This works well if you only need to use it occasionally, it's a pretty standard device but the controls are a bit flimsy and approximate at best. It works but needs a bit of play to work well. I have another one for small solder joints and micro soldering that is much better than this one but also much more expensive. I still think it's a good block, but not face value. Although it looks better than it feels. What is surprising is that the accessories are good. It's a solid unit even with the negative vibes I caused and it still really gets the job done. Longevity may be my only concern in the long run.
