Dorman Exhaust Manifold Kit

I would give this product a mediocre rating. There are two reasons for this, but they do not affect the function of the part. 1) Heat shields will not fit without major modifications. This includes refinishing the shields (knocking the dirt out of them with a hammer) and drilling new mounting holes. The tubes meet the top shield facing you and the bolt holes don't line up. The back of the collector doesn't have all of the sign attachment points but there are enough of them to attach the sign, again you will need to redo and drill the sign. The bottom screen facing you also needs remodeling and drilling. 2) The distributor needs a plug for the bottom O2 sensor port if your vehicle only uses the top sensor. The kit must be supplied with the appropriate screw and protective gasket. It is very positive that the kit contains everything you need to replace the manifold. All screws and gaskets are included, it was nice to have all the heat shield screws included as half of them broke upon removal. Just a tip, you must remove the alternator and alternator bracket to remove the manifold, otherwise it's a time-consuming job. When reinstalling the generator, remember to push the rear tab of the generator bushing slightly into the tab to ease reinstallation of the generator by threading the generator mounting bolt through the front mounting tab into the bushing and yielding the flash. a few light taps with a soft hammer. When removing the alternator, it is also necessary to push the fuse box and the coolant expansion tank to the side and loosen the V-ribbed belt. To aid in reassembly, use elastic cord to hold serpentine belt tension as it is removed from alternator; This way your belt doesn't fall into the engine compartment and you don't have to re-route it on the pulleys. I highly recommend attempting to reinstall all heat shields, they protect components in the engine bay from the extreme heat of the catalytic converter; You don't want your plastic parts to melt. They also protect the catalytic converter from additional engine heat and prevent the catalytic converter from overheating the engine. I replaced the coil and distributor as we had cracks in one of the distributor tubes and did an OBD check. Engine code and MIL, after installing and deleting the MIL, we no longer had the MIL. Prepare to spend three to five hours doing it yourself.
