Some good stuff for catalytic converters and parts

Works great! Since the heat shield screws mentioned do not all match in all other reviews, you will have to drill new holes. If you have an Altima 04, buy an oxygen sensor plug in advance as it has an extra hole for the oxygen sensor that your car doesn't have.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Excellent product suitable for catalytic converters

Six months have passed since the installation and everything is fine. Maybe with all the necessary parts and it was easy to fit a stall. Word to the wise, installing them yourself is easy. Removing the old one is a nightmare. You need at least 4 hours of operation of the exhaust system. bolt cutting and so on. I had to widen the holes on the new one a bit to get it a perfect fit, but it was very small. But with confidence.

Pros
  • Everything is ok!
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Dorman - Top Aftermarket Market

After OEM Cat. Dorman is the best aftermarket. I changed 3 cats. (Kateran) on my 2002 Nissan Altima after 3 years because P0420 they didn't even last a year maybe 8 months, my last shot was a Dorman and I'm surprised it's been over a year without a Cat. Problem with my check engine light. I would definitely recommend it to a Nissan Altimas owner.

Great product Great price

Very good product and the Dorman brand couldn't be cheaper. Same part number was $200 more expensive at my local parts store and would have taken 7 days to get and had to pick it up from the store (more gas money and time). I created a master account and ordered it late Thursday evening and it was on my doorstep early Saturday morning. The heat shield took a bit of work, but I still gave it five stars because it's the same thing I would get at my local parts store.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Problem solved quickly - 2 hour job

Need a little help installing the heat shield as almost everyone has noticed. Persuasion (rubber mallet) is handy for sculpting shields. Try to keep the old shield mounts. I've found that the old ones are better in some spots than the new ones that come with this kit (a bit longer). I also cut the first hole so I don't have to remove the alternator. You will understand and see this benefit when you get there. The original was filmed without removing the generator.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Reliability

Nissan Altima owners from 2002 to 2005 - Absolutely!

Get it! If you have a 2002 - 2005 Nissan Altima - then take this thing! Make sure you pair this with two NGK (Japanese) O2 sensors with blue and green plastic connectors - not that Bosch crap that's giving poor readings after six months on the road. Keep in mind that Altima is finicky about checking engine codes - which means you'll be driving with bad stuff for nine months before the code fails (tons of gas wasted and oil burned). Just do it! I can't believe in performance recovery; I was…

Good OEM replacement, *Note on installing the heat shield*

Installed this on a 2004 Nissan Sentra SER Spec-V during a headgasket change to prevent additional damage from a factory ancestor which is getting worse could. As others have described, the hole pattern in standard heat shields is slightly different than the bolt holes on the header. I found that I didn't have to drill holes to line up the placement, instead I flipped the heat shields over and hammered the back of the shields to round out the factory stamped grooves. Just a little, but all it…

Fits the car, but nothing fits

The device fits the car perfectly. (+1 star) The assembly kit contains most of the parts needed for assembly (+1 star). Kit does not include lower mounting bolt or new manifold nuts. There are two lambda probe plugs (-1 star). The additional second can be plugged with an M18x1.5 drain plug, available in Midwest Fastener Nuts and Bolts at your local hardware store. The one for the sensor is too far from the connector attachment point (-1 star). I bought new heat shields from the dealer (the only

Dorman Exhaust Manifold Kit

I would give this product a mediocre rating. There are two reasons for this, but they do not affect the function of the part. 1) Heat shields will not fit without major modifications. This includes refinishing the shields (knocking the dirt out of them with a hammer) and drilling new mounting holes. The tubes meet the top shield facing you and the bolt holes don't line up. The back of the collector doesn't have all of the sign attachment points but there are enough of them to attach the sign…
