These coasters are fully effective at dealing with condensation on the outside of iced drinks. The felt pad absorbs moisture and stays firmly on the rubber-plastic backing. They are large and are advertised as 4.25 inches, which is nice. The bottom is slightly sticky, which prevents slipping. At first I thought the plastic would interact with the wood surface and leave marks, but that's not the case. I don't think I would leave the tree stand out in the sun. Been using it for a week and they meet my needs.
