The lamp comes well packaged with six arms separate from the base. Assembling the lamp requires wiring from all six legs to the main wiring assembly. This is simply done with two terminal blocks. Simply lift the six clips on a rail, insert the six white wires from the brackets and close the clips. Then lift the eighth bracket on the power rail and connect the main wiring. A clamp is not used. Then repeat for the black wires. It's pretty easy to assemble. The lamp hangs like any other lamp and all necessary hardware is included. It's a beautiful, high quality unit and I'm happy to use it in my recording studio. !
