I like that the taper is wide enough that I can insert my finger and thumb to bring the spectator card to the top of the deck when I cut the deck. I like to end my routine by pushing the top selected card about 1/2 inch away from the deck and then tossing the deck on the table so the airflow lifts that card up and off the deck making it appear like the Card came out of the middle of the deck.
