Drilling a 3" hole in a table isn't easy. Once you do that, you'll realize it really needs to be a little bigger. You can fix this with a rough sanding roller. As mentioned in another review, the RJ-45 cable and plug are of poor quality, but you can replace them with good quality RJ-45 keystone and a short cable. Then you are in business. The jack goes into the hole. A locking ring keeps it in the hole. The hub rim forms a nice, finished edge with your desktop. The incredibly long power cord fits into any outlet within 6 feet and powers two AC outlets and two USB ports for charging, and the RJ-45 connection works because you provided all the details. Now that it's over I'm happy with the result but I wouldn't do it again.
