I've had a lot of online meetings due to COVID-19. I felt my laptop's webcam wasn't good enough. My desktop computer needed a webcam so I could show my colleagues at meetings. However, I have found that many webcams are expensive. I've decided to use my iPhone 7 (with an app that offers resolutions up to 720p) as a webcam for my desktop, but I've encountered a few technical issues from time to time. I found this webcam cheaper and decided to give it a try. Based on my testing over the past 3 days, it works great and meets my needs well. This camera has the same specs as the more expensive 1080P webcams. It's plug and play. Windows 10 recognizes it immediately. This significantly increases the video resolution compared to my laptop's built-in 720p webcam. It also works very well in low light conditions. Next, I ran a head-to-head video quality comparison from my iPhone 7 with the webcam app installed. I think this webcam is a bit brighter than the iPhone, but has a better resolution (1080p) than the iPhone (the two webcam apps I use only allow 720p resolution). I can't say which is better than the other. This camera is designed to be easily and securely attached to the top of a desktop monitor or laptop. It has a screw under the bracket so it can be mounted on a tripod. The microphone that comes with the webcam is also useful. It has better sound quality than my laptop. I'm glad I have this webcam. I recommend it if you are looking for an affordable, reliable, and portable webcam with high video quality.
