Not great for 1/4 price

Now I really regret I didn't spend almost $400 on this. It really is NOT worth the price. where to start Well, simple things. It has a color display that is very difficult to see in the sun. I guess it's not bad because there's an alarm when the tire pressure is low, but there's a reason to see the screen. I expected this to work, like most automotive stuff, it turns on when you apply 12V and turns off when you turn the car off. Not this device. It is battery operated and the instructions clearly state NOT to turn it on when charged. So you have to charge it, then unplug it until it needs charging, then plug it back in. It lasts several days on batteries and charges in 4 hours, but it's a royal pain. This is where the poorly visible screen appears. It tells you when it's charged, but it's very hard to see in the sun. As with most monitors, you screw sensors onto each tire and the monitor can read temps and temps. Tire pressure ONE at a time. It can monitor about 145 tires, but if you're like me you only have 4, 6, or 8. BTW, the sensors are about $50 each. I mention this because this monitor only displays ONE bus at a time, alternating them all, with a small icon for each on a hard-to-see screen. wait now Every tire shows temp and pressure, but those sensors are bolted to a valve that rotates in the air. You don't know tire temperatures. This half of the display is a waste of time. If you had 145 tires and each showed 3 seconds, it would take 7 minutes before you saw the temperature again. Basically, just showing ONE tire at a time on a big screen is a waste of time. I guess I should have shopped better because you can find monitors that show 4 or 8 tires at once for less than $100 including gauges. Most of them have screens that you can see in the sun. It generally works, but overall I paid four times what I should for a monitor that performs worse than the cheaper ones you can see in the sun.
