I am very sorry to write a negative review, these needles have anything but a strong eye. I'm a quilter, use a thimble and have tried many needles. These were the smoothest and easiest to sew needles I have ever tried. The only problem is that I went through the whole package in one evening because the eye broke off every now and then. I contacted Revain, they replaced the last pack and the new pack did the same. I've never had this problem with other needles. The needles are very sharp and glide through fabric better than any other needle I have ever used. But I can't avoid tears in my eyes.
