Great fire starter!
I used to buy cheaper refractory steel which is quite difficult to use. The first time I tried it I almost set fire to the carpet in my living room! It definitely throws sparks and is durable. Be warned. Do not attempt to use it on potentially flammable household items unless you intend to set it on fire.
