Dental floss works well. My problem is that it's impossible to really clean and dry. I live in a humid climate where mold grows faster than you can say "blue cheese". The reservoir holes are too small to fit a towel in to dry, and water never fully exits the detachable tips. With my now defunct WaterPik I was able to easily dry out the tank and by running the device when it was not attached to the tank I was able to easily remove all moisture including the tip. This is not possible with this device. I'm not anti-germ nor a picky janitor. However, I don't like the idea of mold getting into the gum line. I'm using it now but will start buying a new block. Live and learn I guess.
