I bought this card because of its low price (compared to Linux) and installed it on an old Win98 SE PC. My internet connection is connected to my laptop via a Linksys 54G PC card and the old PC is connected to my laptop via a D-Link card (ah hoc network). Setup was relatively easy and I had no problems. However, sometimes serious problems would arise on my old computer when trying to connect. After Win98 booted up but couldn't see the D-Link card, I had to remove and reinsert the card to fix the problem. Then another day for some strange reason the connection is very slow for an obvious reason. So, bottom line, if you are a computer whiz and don't want to spend too much money on a PCI 802.11g card for an extra PC, then this is the card for you as you may need to troubleshoot from time to time why something is happening and you cannot access the Internet.
