I bought these shelves because I was looking for shelves/trays with lots of narrow slots as I needed to separate a lot of documents. It was very difficult to find something that suited my needs, but they were perfect in terms of size and number of slots. The downside is that it is very difficult to assemble. The concept is simple, you just really have to hit it with a hammer as the pins won't go into the holes that easily. But you also have to be careful when hitting with a hammer, as the outer layer of paint tears very easily. So you have to hit hard but not too hard and at the right angle or all the paint will crack. Tip: Make sure the front and back of each panel are correct before you start hammering. The fronts are painted and the backs are unpainted. I didn't pay attention to that and used one of the panels incorrectly. It was very difficult trying to get the clogged pins out.
