If you need to remove the V-belt pulley, this is what you need. Typical 2-jaw and 3-jaw pullers can bend or break even cast pulleys. If you are working on old machines, replacement pulleys are either unavailable or difficult to find and very expensive. The pulley is held firmly in the V-groove and the puller spreads the load, minimizing potential damage. This thing really saved me from a recent restoration of an old band saw. I just wish I had gotten one sooner.
