I can confirm they absorb moisture. Place a few pieces on a very sensitive letter scale (in grams). After storing a few bullets in a home safe for a week, the bullets have already turned from orange to green (indicating that most of the absorption has already taken place, indicating that they need to be recharged). For example, one of the large packs weighed 54g when it arrived and after a week in the safe it weighed 64g (about average if they work as expected). The first time I upgraded, I put them in the oven as directed (but it literally takes a couple of hours) and they went from green indicator beads back to orange. However, after one final dip in the safe (and going green again) I tried the microwave and then recharged (the manufacturer claims the only one from the US was safely microwaved in just minutes). In addition to being very hot and humid, the colored balls did not "fall" and the weight did not fall, indicating that the microwave was not charging. 3 starts because they work, but apparently only when charging in the oven (takes many hours). I just don't recommend buying them for the convenience of using a microwave to charge.
