My computer has a GPU heatsink that sits on the bottom of the case with intake fans. The fans are only 1/2 inch off the ground, which works but isn't ideal. I wanted to elevate the case for more efficient cooling and this is the only under desk mount that is both heavy duty and has an open bottom for my heatsink and fans. With my computer case now about 6 inches off the ground and the heatsink fans sucking in copious amounts of cold air, my GPU (RTX 2080ti) now cools down 2-3 degrees (Celsius) and up to 7-10 degrees when idling. Cooler at full load. This hanger was easy to install, but here are some helpful tips to ensure a smooth installation. 1) Make sure your table or countertop is made of strong and dense material that can bear the weight. Hardwood is best. MDF (e.g. IKEA) is questionable, and lightweight chipboard most likely will not work; The bracket itself is quite heavy. 2) Use the correct screwdriver bit. Otherwise, you will most likely loosen the screws. 3) Consider installing a recessed mount (closer to the back of the table top) if you have a relatively heavy PC. This allows you to place the heavier part (usually the back 1/3 where the PSU, CPU, heatsink, etc.) of your PC on a hanging arm for better balance without protruding in front of your desk.
