Review on 🧽 Rubbermaid 1810994 Non-Scratch Scouring Pad Spray Scrubber for Effective Cleaning by Robert Edmondson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great idea! Imperfect design (unfortunately)

When I saw this brush in a Rubbermaid ad I thought it looked like a good bathroom cleaning design. I've searched local stores for weeks but couldn't find it so I ended up ordering (2 of these) from Revain. The way the handle is angled back to give the pointed front end a bit of FLEX is TOTALLY COOL! It's also nice that the brush stands upright to dry when you're done with it. BUT there is a fatal flaw in the design. The rear ends of the plastic frame are iron-shaped and protrude beyond the inserted bristles, which point vertically downwards. The side and back corners of the very rigid plastic frame constantly bang against the walls of the tub during cleaning, making it not only noisy and annoying but also potentially dangerous. I suspect this may result in chips or dents on some surfaces like enameled bathtubs or fragile porcelain fixtures. Rubbermaid's clever designers have never tested it in a real bathtub. The design would be better if the bristles on the back were closer to the edge of the plastic frame and/or pointed outwards rather than straight down, or if the rigid plastic "wing" shape on the frame was more tapered so that it didn't the case is have such large angles that stick out. Or if the entire outer edge of the frame was flexible, like the front. Very disappointed with what might be the second best household tool after the broom. :'-(
