At 1 mil thick (confirmed) these are fairly typical bags suitable for kitchen use - I wouldn't mess with the junk if you don't mind ripping. The box they come in acts as a dispenser by tearing off the perforated corner. The box is a bit big but it works. It's nice to have bags that don't use the "elastic" or "sealed" features on the sides of the bags. that never works. I swung a pouch before use to see where it would tear and as expected it broke right next to the weld but before it broke it stretched a bit. The packages just survived the overflow in our kitchen. Big. no leaks or ruptures and lots of filling and crushing debris inside. They are a little less comfortable than shoulder bags. but they seem strong and constant. These bags are on our list - if they continue to compete on price we will buy them again.
