for the time being. Slip on much easier and more secure closure than old school zippered bags. But wait, it's not all good as these bags have a design issue and Hefti needs to fix it. The end on which the latch rests when closed can easily splinter when the lid is open. Not good, and it happens to me maybe 10% of the time. Because of this, I've learned to be very careful when using these freezer bags. Again, this is a design issue that Hefti needs to fix! Except for the separation problem (only if I'm not careful) I like these bags very much. They are the right size for over 90% of what I want them for. The zipper design is very easy to use and I like it very much. But the bag ripping is a problem enough to deduct 1 star from me. So it's only a 4 star bag for me. I'll still use them, but I want hefti to fix the design issue and stop splitting. Hope this will be helpful.
