Tea filters with filter sticks work perfectly! I've been using them for a long time (years) and am very surprised by some of the negative reviews. I have tried all possible options and these are the best for me. I believe the leakage problem some have had is because they didn't open up the filter to allow the little notches to hold each side of the filter bag in place. If you use the product as directed on the packaging, it will not spill. Six other comments/suggestions: 1) I found that I made less mess by filling the filter bag with tea leaves before attaching the stick rather than after; 2) No need to throw away the chopsticks after you've used up the box - you can keep them for multiple people to make tea at the same time; 3) The size of the large recess in the handle is quite sufficient to place even my largest cup on the rim; 4) These filters are sized for a small cup; I don't mind the filter not touching the bottom of my cup and I haven't noticed a difference in how my tea is brewed when it isn't, but when brewing tea in a deeper cup I sometimes use same wand with one of my longer filters - works the same with all filters with no leaks; 5) The sticks are also available separately. So if you don't need the small filters, just buy the sticks separately to use with the large filter. and 6) I've found so many other uses for these chopsticks and filters, like soaking spices in a cup of chicken broth for extra flavor before drinking and filtering out solids from a liquid.
