I bought this bandage to wear while recovering from cataract surgery. The patch comes well packaged. The patch itself is made of plastic with an inner foam rim that makes contact with the skin and blocks light. The ribbon is a thin, flexible thread that cannot be resized. After cataract surgery on my first eye, I tried putting on an eye patch but quickly realized it didn't fit my glasses. So for me it was useless. It can be worn for eye protection while sleeping at night, but it is quite small compared to the eye protection I am provided with at the surgical center and I don't think it offers as good protection for that reason becomes. If you don't need glasses and only need to tape one eye, you might find this eye patch worthwhile. The strap is snug, but since it's not adjustable I would expect it to loosen over time. Anyone who needs a bandage to wear permanently will probably want to think about another product. For me it was a waste of money even for temporary use since I couldn't wear it with glasses.
