Great for keeping things from slipping
I like Norton's anti-slip mat. I didn't buy it to use with a whetstone but used it as a multi-purpose non-slip mat on a TV dining table. I eat on it, do crafts on it, use it for TV remotes, etc. It occupies a large area (1/4) of the table and is easy to clean.
